To Remix Artistic Swimming Club Members,

Remix Artistic Swimming Board of Directors is seeking Candidates for the Remix Board of Directors for 2023-2026. In September 2023, one board position will be open for election. 

  • Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The REMX Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the REMX Board of Directors is composed of persons sufficiently qualified and skilled to provide effective leadership. The REMX Board of Directors encourages a broad representation of applicants as we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment and encourages applications from all eligible individuals.  REMX believes in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment as a key step toward eliminating barriers to access and equity. REMX encourages individuals who identify as Indigenous, Black or a Person of Colour, LGBTQ+, otherwise-abled, and other under-represented identities to submit their nomination. It is important that we reflect the diverse communities across the community that we serve. All applications will receive consideration. 

REMX Directors are asked to: 

  • Understand and demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission and programs

  • Keep up to date with issues and trends that affect the organization

  • Prepare for meetings by reading agendas, minutes, reports and other documentation required to actively participate in them

  • Attend meetings regularly

  • Contribute skills and knowledge by participating actively in meetings and committee work

  • Make inquiries when clarification or more information is needed

  • Understand and monitor the organization’s financial affairs

  • Avoid any potential conflicts of interest

  • Understand and maintain confidentiality

  • Ensure the organization is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements

Nominees must fill out a Nomination Form and Nominee Profile, prior to 4:00pm (EST) August 24th, 2023. 

Both of these documents will be distributed in their entirety to the membership for review and consideration prior to elections. This information will also be published and posted on the REMX website and other social media as applicable.

Elections for these positions will take place during the Annual Meeting, Sunday, September 24th, 2023.

The following is the timeline summarizing the 2023 nominating process: 

  • Week of June 24th Call for Nominations communicated to members via email and on the REMX website and social media channels. 

    • The Nomination Form and Nominee Profile are available to download from the REMX website at: https://www.remixartswim.ca/page/home

    • Nomination Form and Nominee Profile must be completed by all interested parties by August 24th, 2023 by 4pm EST. Forms must be submitted by email to [email protected]

  • The REMX BoD will announce the slate of Candidates for the 2023-2024 Board of Directors via email and on the REMX website on September 8th, 2023

  • Annual Meeting information communicated to Members the week of August 15th, 2022 

  • September 24, 2023 REMX Annual Meeting and election.
